Vascular Access Pathway – Led by Flavia Gentile
- ULTRASOUND AV FISTULA PLANNING (open and endo)
Arteriovenous fistula planning is the most important step before creating a successful open or percutaneous vascular access for dialysis, and ultrasounds play a key role in it. Attendees will use ultrasound in order to plan and create a successful dialysis access. - OPEN BASIC AVF
This hands-on workshop is about basic surgical techniques for dialysis access.
You will practice techniques on models and learn tips and tricks from the experts. Techniques for radiocephalic and brachiocephalic fistula will be covered. - OPEN COMPLEX AVF
Do you want to learn how to create a transposed brachiobasilic fistula or an arteriovenous graft (AVG)?
Join this hands-on workshop and you will learn from the experts, while practising the techniques on models. - ENDOVASCULAR ARTERIOVENOUS FISTULA CREATION
Participate in this workshop to learn about percutaneous techniques for dialysis access creation.
Identify the right candidates, plan your case and perform the procedure on a simulator.
Venous Pathway – Led by Adam Zielinski
HOW TO OPTIMISE TREATMENT OF DEEP VENOUS SYSTEM
Post-thrombotic lesions can be devastating for the future of patients after thrombosis in the deep venous system. This condition seems to be the most severe in the pool of phlebological disorders.
So how to diminish the consequences of this problem?
Should we immediately treat deep vein thrombosis intravenously or wait? Are we able to reopen all vessels by modern stents in all cases? These are the type of questions which will be easier for you to answer after this workshop.
Experienced tutors will explain their attitude to the problem and show you the tips and tricks that they use. A large pool of devices will be presented and you will have the opportunity to put some stents into artificial veins or remove clots out of them.
ENDOVENOUS TREATMENT OF VARICOSE VEINS BY THERMAL TECHNIQUES
If you are familiar with the modern techniques of venous disease treatment, you cannot miss this workshop. You will benefit from experienced operators who have been dealing with laser or radiofrequency for years, since the birth of these methods.
Practical questions and well-thought-out answers will be shared with you, as will the possibility to try top-level equipment used by the experts.
CURRENT PROCEDURAL TREATMENT OF CHRONIC VENOUS DISEASE
If you are ready to discuss the variety of treatment modalities of chronic venous disease, you will be shown a number of cases prepared by the experts.
Far from a lecture format, they will discuss many common questions and explain ways to solve the clinical problems that arise, drawing upon real cases and years of knowledge.
Additionally, there will be a brainstorming discussion about the possibilities to treat superficial vein thrombosis by thrombectomy devices. After joining this workshop your clinical practice will never be the same.
TREATMENT OF PELVIC VENOUS DISORDERS: Embolisation or stenting: when and how?
This workshop will definitely confirm your devotion to the deep veins system. Listening to the remarks of experts and watching them in action, you will be able to see how to treat patients with a variety of lesions, which demand occlusion or restoring patency of the deep system.
Special interest will be put on pelvic vein disorders as we know more about indications and the course of the procedures of embolisation or stenting in such cases. All devices that are useful in daily practice will be presented and you will benefit from practising under the supervision of expert tutors.
MINIMALLY INVASIVE TREATMENT OF CVI & AESTHETIC PHLEBOLOGY.
Glue, laser, sclerotherapy
An excellent surgeon knows how to treat the pathology, but also cares about the consequences of their actions. Thus, modern treatment should be as minimally invasive as possible.
If you want to learn how to be gentle but efficient in phlebology, you should attend this workshop. Highly experienced faculty will show you minimally invasive modalities in the treatment of highly dangerous venous insufficiency as well as cosmetic lesions like spider veins. The result should be the same – to cure the disease and make the patient happy. The practical structure of this workshop, with the possibility to train with phantoms, will give you the opportunity to either develop your skills further or to take your first steps in this area.
